Sometimes I think about how:
DC just beat out LA for worst traffic in the nation,
every other GW student blows smoke in my face when I walk to class,
strangers don't smile back at me on the street,
or the closest thing DC has to mountains are the piles of blankets homeless people make in the street corners
And then I get a little depressed.
But then my metro comes r i g h t as I'm coming down the escalator and I get to feel the rush of passing trains whizzing past. And I get butterflies.
Then I remember that my little city ain't so bad.
